ABOUT US

Hi I'm Nico, the founder of Free Kicks. Born in 1980 Queens, N.Y. I grew up around soccer. Playing since I was a little boy I followed in the footsteps of my passionate Italian soccer family. After playing for youth club teams in Long Island, N.Y.  and high school For St. Francis Prep in Queens, N.Y. I ended up playing Division I college soccer at Adelphi University and Division II at LIU Post University.

After graduation I decided to keep playing at a high level so I played here and there for some semi-pro teams like Brooklyn Knights and Long Island Rough Riders. While playing with these teams I dabbled in some training and coaching with some youth teams and clinics.  After a year or two I realized I've found my calling. coaching professionally is the only thing I wanted to do. Few years more I started my own company called NV Fitness Academy (check us out on instagram) :)  Fast forward ten years later and I'm proud to say I've worked with over 500 amazing youth athletes in my academy.
